Wendy Ellis, RD

Registered Dietician Wendy Ellis brings a wealth of knowledge and experience about good nutrition to her clients. For over 24 years, she has used the power of nutrition education to help people lose weight, gain more energy, manage sudden or chronic health problems, improve their relationships, and enhance the way they look and feel.

Wendy has developed a number of nutrition management programs that have helped people of all ages and walks of life get healthy. She developed a weight management program for children entitled Food and Fitness Insight Training for Kids (F.F.I.T. for Kids), which she taught at a local fitness facility. She has also developed and led supermarket tours for teachers and other groups interested in learning how to navigate the aisles for optimal nutrition.

Additionally, Wendy is certified in Weight Management for Adults, a program offered through the American Dietetic Association, and she has contributed to “Vegging Out,” a newsletter devoted to vegetarian food, nutrition, and families.

Wendy earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics in 1985 from Mount Mary College where she graduated summa cum laude and was valedictorian of her class. After passing a national qualifying examination, she became a Registered Dietitian, and then began her career as a supervisor in the food service department at St. Michael’s Hospital. She continued to gain knowledge as an outpatient dietitian at Family Health Plan, and then spent time honing her clinical skills at Milwaukee County Medical Complex.
