Chelsey’s personal yoga journey began more than 15 years ago as a college student. She found the practice to be holistically beneficial through its integration of breath, body, spirit, strength, and surrender. With the intention to further her self-study and ultimately be able to invite others to experience the benefits of yoga, she completed her 200-hr Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) training and 20-hr Pranayama: Advanced Breath Practices training through Green Lotus Yoga & Healing Center in Minneapolis, MN.
Her practice and teaching method is rooted in the tradition of her mentor, Father Joe Pereira, a direct student of B.K.S. Iyengar for 46 years. The lineage of her teachers has created a foundation of compassion, attentiveness, and integrity from which she extends her personal understanding. It is with sincere gratitude and a deep reverence for the practice as well as her teachers that she endeavours to share yoga with others.
