Tracey began her yoga practice in 1999 while studying for her BFA in Art Education. She found yoga helped relieve her lower back pain, stabilize her emotions, and build her self-confidence. Tracey teaches full time through UWM’s Dance Department and is honored to be a part of the Delaware House Team. Her teaching method is described as well-grounded, spirited, and attentive to the individual aspects of her students. She is also known for her sense of humor and her gentle guiding voice while teaching self-awareness in each posture. Tracey teaches in the Iyengar tradition founded by B.K.S. Iyengar which is an accessible method of yoga for the modern practitioner that is sophisticated, scientifically founded, and rooted in history and tradition. It is a form of Hatha Yoga that has an emphasis on detail, precision and alignment in the performance of posture (asana) and breath control (pranayama).
