Physical Therapy

Struggling with low back pain or an achy neck? Are you an athlete with knee pain or foot alignment issues? Are you in need of a total hip replacement or total knee replacement? Maybe you have been experiencing shoulder pain and stiffness. Or, do you have a neurologic illness, such as Multiple Sclerosis, and want to improve your walking or ability to get out of your chair, but you don’t know where to go for help?

Meet our Resident Physical Therapist

Kathy Howell PT, OCS, CFMT, the owner of the Delaware House, and physical therapist, can assist you with all your rehabilitation needs. Kathy runs her business, Bodies in Motion Physical Therapy and Wellness, right here at the Delaware House. If you would like to make an appointment with Kathy, you can simply call her directly or send her an email. Her information is on her bio page.

Manual Therapy Approach

Her treatment approach is a manual therapy- based approach, and she treats both orthopedic and neurologic patients. In addition to her physical therapy degree, Kathy has been certified as a Functional Manual Therapist with the Institute of Physical Art.

She will look at your entire body in the treatment and assess what manual therapy intervention is appropriate. This might include soft tissue mobilization, joint mobilization or hands-on proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation. Kathy will also look closely at your posture and body mechanics to prevent the issues from returning.
